“Made Slowly. Sourced Thoughtfully. Traced Honestly.”
What sustainability means to us
We see sustainability as a practice of better decisions rather than a single claim. In our context, it means working with handmade and small-batch processes, choosing natural, recycled, reclaimed and lower-impact materials where suitable, supporting slower production cycles, and designing pieces with longevity in mind.It also means resisting the idea that newness alone creates value. Some of the most meaningful objects are the ones that stay with us longest.

The Journey of our crafts

Material Source
Every material is thoughtfully sourced for quality, authenticity, and long-lasting craftsmanship.

Craft Cluster
We collaborate with skilled artisan communities, preserving traditional livelihoods across generations.

Artisan
Every piece is shaped by experienced artisans whose expertise brings every detail to life.

Handmade Process
Time-honoured methods are carefully preserved to create products with enduring character.

Finished Prodcut
Each product is thoroughly inspected, securely packed, and prepared for a safe journey.

Long Product Life
Crafted with durable materials and expert techniques, designed to be cherished for years.

Materials, makingand longevity
We are drawn to materials that feel honest and age well. We pay attention to finish, repairability, reuse and the life a piece can have beyond a single season.
Because so much of our work is made by hand, variation is part of the process. We see that not as wasteful inconsistency, but as evidence of human making something to understand, respect and live with.

Traceability & transparency
We are working towards a more transparent craft ecosystem where customers can understand more of the journey behind what they buy: the material source, the craft cluster, the artisan, the process and, where possible, the wider impact created through that work.
Not every product is fully traceable yet, and we do not want to overstate where we are. But greater visibility into materials, makers and methods is an important part of how we want to build Karigarwala.
